History
“This piece was the second “portrait” [ 1 from a total of 5 ] of “KorvoRão” [ the raven-shark ] that were included in the 1993 project called “As Aventuras do KorvoRão”, and which was comprised of ten reincarnated surfboard sculptures, six photographs and audio text, all telling Ithaka’s quase auto-biographical story, in the form of a fable, surrounding the life and times of the mythical creature KorvoRão. The exhibit was exhibited in its entirety only one time, at “Casa Amarela” [ Parede, Portugal ] in 1994.
Of the original 5 “portrait” pieces in the project, Korvorão 2 is the only survivor.”
