This piece was inspired by the mass quantities of Macumba sacrifices I would see daily on the streets [completely new to me at the time]. Hanged vertically this piece, perhaps out of ignorance to the religion, resembles a frightening face which at the time is the way I frighteningly interpreted these kind of practices.”
