History
Based on the lyrics to the 1993 hit song “So Get Up”, an underground progressive house music written and vocalised by the Californian poet and rapper Ithaka, while he was living in Portugal from 1992 to 1998.
Considered a major Portuguese dance music “national anthem”, as well as international renown, it was the very track that caught the attention and influenced “clubbers” to the interest and new concept of house music.
Many easily recognize the music for its famous shouting “So Get Up, forget the past, the end of the world is upon us! Pretty soon it will all turn to dust!”.
